I’m here to share what I've learned over the last five years growing native plants. I will introduce you to seasonal rhythms, teach you how to know what plants to buy for your space, and develop your confidence to make your own gardening decisions. My goal isn't for you to need me forever—it's for you to become the kind of gardener who trusts yourself.
Years ago I accidentally stumbled into the world of native plants through a wet and sloshy yard that has since turned into a wet meadow that buzzes with life.
Since then, I’ve been learning as much as I can about the plants that like to live here. You know, the plants that are kinda hard to kill? Like, even when they get mistakenly mowed over by a well-meaning yard service they still bounce back.
If you’d like to learn more about gardening with those kinds of plants, I want to help. My goals as a coach all center around your goals for your space. Let’s get you the garden of your dreams.
My goal is to empower you to understand your own gardening prowess, even if you think you have a black thumb. In my coaching sessions I don’t grow gardens, I inspire gardeners.
So, we’re here to help you get the garden you want. That pollinator-rich paradise that brings a sense of peace to your yard.
How can we help? Well, pick an option below and let’s get started!
Think: you like people and you want to build a little gardening community that can help you through your gardening foibles and celebrate your successes with you.
Think: you only kinda like people and prefer to deal with less of them. Also, maybe you have a specific project that needs specific attention.
Think: maybe you like people, maybe you don’t, but either way you wanna do it yourself. So, just buy some plants and get diggin’ my friend!
8 Week Seasonal Cohort - $2000
The seasonal cohort is more than just a class, it’s a space where people can come together to learn more about gardening with native plants. We are essentially building a little gardening community for 8 weeks. You will learn concepts, get hands-on experiences and practice skills, and leave the 8 weeks feeling more confident in your abilities to read your own land and give it what it needs to produce and maintain life.
For this fall’s cohort, we will be meeting weekly starting in September and going through October. I am hoping to have a group of 5-10 people; small enough to get to know each other. We will do a mix of Zoom meetings from the comfort of our own homes and in-person, hands-on meetings in my yard, local parks, or cohort member’s yards (with permission, obviously).
Topics will include:
-
Weeds are still growing, things are starting to die out for the season, what does fall garden maintenance look like?
-
Winter is coming, now what? You can keep your yard a thriving habitat over the winter without sacrificing visual appeal as things die out and dry out.
-
Soil conditions, basic botany, and pollinators, oh my! But for real, let’s get you informed on the things you need to know to be a good native plant gardener.
-
Did you know you can design your own garden without having to go suuuuper in depth into horticultural design? Lucky for you, it’s true!
Could you pay someone a ton of money to do it better? Yep, probably. But then you wouldn’t have the same twinkle in your eye every time you looked at your self-designed garden beds.
Also, planting them is pretty easy. You got this!

The beauty of doing a seasonal cohort instead of an 8 week class? What you want colors what we do. This is a coaching cohort. Your goals inform our time. What do you want to learn how to do? What would make you feel like you were a bonafide native plant gardener? Let’s do it.
1:1 Garden Coaching
Meet
First: we meet up and figure out your goals for your space. Are you looking for a big change or just some help maintaining what you already have? You tell me your pain points in gardening, and we figure out what you (and your garden) need to be able to succeed.
Plan and Collaborate
Next: we get to make a plan of action. How often we get together and what ways I’m able to help you, well, that’s for us to decide together. You get to participate in creating the best plan forward for your specific needs and budget.
Learn
Throughout: I’m not a design and install service. Instead, my goal is to build you up as a confident gardener who knows what they want with their space and is able to accomplish it. I am always available to help you with maintenance (like that pesky weeding and such), but my main goal is for you to come out not only with a garden you love, but an understanding of that garden.
Enjoy
Final Product: The real goal here is for you to have a space that brings you peace. Imagine yourself sitting in your new garden on that bench or yard chair that we placed in the exact right spot to watch the bees, butterflies, and birds flit about. Your garden used to overwhelm you, but now it brings you joy. That’s the sweet spot.
